Hi BB, yes it's red black and white. It was designed by an 11 year old and represents the Black Country industry long gone now. Black by day, red by night, due to furnaces opening and making the sky red, the glass cone is also on there, representing the sadly gone cut glass industry and a chain to represent the chain makers of the area. You can Google it on Wikipedia.

Ha ha, no way, the black country flag is proudly flying everywhere in the black country, not Brum of course ha ha.

I wish more areas of the UK would do the same thing. Our area of Norfolk is called Poppy Land but unofficially. There are hundred and hundreds of acres of poppies, and its beautiful when they are out. Have a Google and see for yourself.

A dear friend of ours from up the bonk at Sedgley has emigrated after 70+ years to the Bletchley area she spends a lot of time being asked where up north are you from....
She saw a stff member in a shop in Milton Keynes with an adapted name badge "Jane " I'm Black Country not a Brummie

Yes, unfortunately, it was pathetic . Needless to say Eleanor Smith lost her seat, next election

. We are very proud of our heritage, black country folk were hard working, and if talking of slavery we could argue they were the slaves. Incidentally, my claim to fame, my grandfather helped make the chain for the Titanic, at Noah Hingleys, Netherton, they also made the anchor. It was not his fault the ship sank. Lol.
