DVD Player. The tray has stopped working despite the motor running.
Any suggestions for repair or somewhere that could check it out.
Might be cheaper to buy a new one?

Depends where you live. If in the east there is a small computer shop (AC&DC) next to Funky Diva's hair place - he is very good and will only repair it if it is worth it, if not then he will either sell you another or point you towards a place that sells different ones. Have used him for years and never been let down yet.

The Guy next to Funky Diva's is good , but faced with a similar issue I bought a new Sony for £25 via Amazon and delivered to PO Box in the south

I second waddo's recommendation - I'll take a stab at the name - Açdınc - I've probably got my c & ç the wrong way around!

Both Father and Son are very knowledgeable, competent, and honest.

If you're lucky, it will be the rubber drive belt that drives the tray mechanism...
