Hi all, just a quick post in letting you all know that even in this time of darkness and sadness, love and care do shine thru, I attended a charity event last night at the Black Olive in aid of the "Sleeping Village" (Green Hill Cemetery) whose upkeep is all done by donations and volunteers (hats off to these guys who give up their time, in someone's else's time of need.

It was a great night special thanks must go to Richard Currie (Quizmaster) bless him he must of spent hours and hours listening to music, also to Vicki and Unal for providing the most delicious food ever, and not only to all of us that attended but special thanks to all who donated to the raffle (especial Dawn who not only gave prizes but also donated 10% of her takings for the night)

Well done everyone the final total raised was 1,150TL

I am so happy to say I live in such a caring community
Even tho me and my team mates did not win quiz it like the old saying "it's the taking part that's important"

Well done everyone

You beat me to it. I wanted to leap up and embarrass harry fellows by dating all the things he didn't. That committee really undertake a true labor of love-and that's an understatement.
As you say the quiz is only a game but funerals are not. Although of they were the cemetery committee would be v the winners.
So when is the next one. Only one disappointment -we won the booby prize but there was no prize. Mustn't complain because everyone was a winner at that quiz.
Now who were that group with the x strange sounding name. .....????
