I have just been informed of the sad news of Michael Raine's death at his home in Scotland this last weekend. He was missed at the bridge club and people went to his home and found him dead in his armchair.

Thanks so much for advising us through the forum. What a sad loss. Such a gentleman and a talented one at that. He brought much pleasure to the lives of many. So sorry to hear, but it does sound that he had, what the Prayer Book calls 'a good end'. ' A blessing denied to many.

Any idea if he had any history of heart problems etc.
