Many apologies in advance for asking the question as I'm sure info is on the forum but I can't find via searching. What value stamps do we need for our muhtar's letter for residency renewal and do we need any other 'postage stamps' . Many thanks.

In the absence of other information, I can tell you that the price of stamps changes constantly. I am confident that the Muktar will have the necessary stamps, and stamps of the correct value can be bought (at a slight premium) from the cafe in the building where you renew your Residency.

Thanks PapaBravo. Just wanted to check as the first time we did our residency, we didn't realise Muhtar's letter needed stamps. He didn't mention it or put any on and this caused a right old fuss when we went back to the police station

"Original letter from your local Muhtar confirming your residency address with a TL 2 revenue stamp (Jun 15) from the local post office".
"TL 11.10 in revenue stamps (May16) (You can buy stamps in the Cafe on the same floor but the fee could be as much as TL 15.00)" This is for the stamp in your passport.
The stamp on picture is old one .
Assuming all the above is up to date ? all the information this there.[/b]

You can also have the residency details and postage stamps written onto a pre printed A5 piece of paper if you don't want anything in your passport. I have my second one in this format and show it along with my passport at crossing points etc...
