Football Coaching in TRNC

As mentioned before on the forum I purchased a villa in Girne in 2014 and now I am considering immigrating to TRNC. I am a qualified football coach with FA Level 2 football badge ( which is a part 1 UEFA B badge) as well as a Dutch International football coaching badge. I have contacted the Turkish Football Association via email twice of any potential football coaching related jobs however I have yet to receive a reply?

Wondering whether anyone on the forum has any contacts or advice ?

Why the Turkish Football Association? - You're not moving to Turkey are you?

Perhaps the Cyprus Turkish Football Association might be a better choice...

Thank you Keith I meant the association based in TRNC. I went on their website and made contact via the website

A small matter of work permit - who will sponsor you, employ you and pay for it? How's your Turkish with footballing terminology? I had a similar experience teaching Gurkhas. The 'wall pass' explanation was an epic - it required a translator in the end.

Tom, my impression is that Denizismail is a Turkish Cypriot, albeit brought up in the UK, so he shouldn't have to worry about a work permit...

I think that he would do far better to actually go and talk to someone, this place runs on personal relationships, and sitting down for a cup of coffee with the person concerned is far more likely to produce a favourable result than an email sent via the website (when we don't even know whether anyone is actually monitoring such emails!). Even a 'phone call wouldn't have the same impact as a personal visit - so if he's serious about this, he really needs to get 'Up close and Personal'

D'accord Keith. Face-to-face is always the best approach. I had not appreciated he was of Cypriot origin, hence my work permit and language concerns. I wish him every success.

The problem as I see it is that whatever existing coaching badges/diplomas you might have they wont be recognised in the TRNC.
If you want to PM me I will put you in touch with somebody who "Knows the score"

Michael
