(Now I'm talking to myself!)

I found this part intriguing:
"As part of the Brexit process the UK will have to re-examine its sovereign bases in Cyprus.
The Cyprus government voiced concern about Brexit's impact on the 15,000 Cypriots living in the Sovereign Base Areas. They are EU citizens, living in British territory.
"Living in areas exempted from the EU, now their status is not very clear," Mr Mavrides said."

Its a strange situation indeed. British (EU) citizens who are living/working on/in the SBA's where non of the EU regulations and laws apply because the SBA's are not classed as being in the EU. So when they go shopping outside of the SBA, where is the border control to check they are EU citizens entering the EU (RoC) from a non-EU (SBA) place? However, once UK is out of the EU then those same British EU citizens living/working in the non-EU (SBA) area's will cease to be EU citizens - therefore they "SHOULD" not be allowed to enter the RoC unless they have obtained the correct visa's in accordance with RoC laws already in existence.

Interesting? Yes. Confusing? Yes. Stupid? Without a doubt - the situation would just have remained the same and everyone would have simply rubbed along if Brexit had not happened, so why change it now?
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
