Can someone please let me know the cost of a return bus ticket from Girne to Lefkosa . Is there such a thing as a a weekly or monthly "Travelcard" with reduced rates?

If you google 'bus service girne to lefkosa' you will find a fair bit of info:
The following 3 for starters.
I think the 'Travelcard' option i a little unlikely.

jllvehdist , what is the reason you found my post so amusing.? Many countries and cities ( rich and poor) that I have travelled to have reduced bus travel tickets, whats so funny about my question?
I thought this forum was for advice and assistance not for members to take the mickey.

Sarikiz l don't think Jilvehdist meant to anything by the comment, l saw the funny side of your post as well.
In the Trnc the bus service is mostly dolmus ( mini bus ), so there is no travel cards and no return tickets.

I dont understand what is so amusing because I asked about bus fares . I know about the dolmus and have used them , I asked the question as a friend of mine has been offered a job in Lefkosa and wanted to know about the bus fares, as a member of this forum I said I would enquire. Apparently it is a source of hilarity .
I thought this forum was for advice, support and discussion, not to make fun of peoples posts.

You seem to be taking the reply very much to heart, nobody is making fun of your post.
If you have used the dolmus system to Lefcosia you have all the answers yourself, but l doubt you live in the Trnc.
Our transport system is very basic, as l drive to most places l am unabLe to give your friend a correct price for a journey to Lefcosia.
The dolmus run from early morning till early evening w ere they will pick up by the wave of a hand.
I hope this will help you a little bit and please except my appology if you were offended it was not intentional.

Karmels can I ask why you feel you need to defend Jilvehdist rudeness. Whether I live in TRNC or not is irrelevant I asked a reasonable question and expected a reasonable answer not to be made fun of.

I am living here for many years but also don't know what's so funny about the question asked. I heard that there is even something like a special price for monthly use but in case this is still existing the reduction in comparison to daily tickets will be only minimal. Best is to ask the bus company or companies at their main “office” in Girne next to the bus stop, situated near the the popular Cafe Paris opposite the Girne municipality in the center of Girne. If the person interested is unable to do so he/she can send me a pm and I will get the information.

The short answer is that they don't issue tickets as far as I'm aware. You pay as you get off, so if there are no tickets, there will be no multiple use reductions.

Its 9tl return or 5tl one way on the mini bus. You get the ticket before you get on. From a man sitting at a small table outside the bus stops. the bus shops are the exit end of the main car park in Girne. There is a ticket collecter who gets on and checks tickets when the bus is on the main Girne - Lefkosa road. If you don't have a ticket you can buy one from him. Alternatively you can get a shared taxi from Kombos at the top of Girne High Street. That is 5tl one way and you pay the driver at the start of the journey

was going to say also if you get the Kombos shared taxi they will take you to other destenation off the main route in Lefkosa for an extra 5tl perperson.

Sorry if i upset you i'll try and delete my post, It's just that at the point of reading it I could imagine getting on a 50 year Old Bus, with no brakes a knackered old diesel engine and trying to "Touch in " with my Senior Citizan Bus Pass.....
