There was a report of a lady and her daughter being attacked on the south in the Cyprus weekly and on Facebook she is very lucky to have got away in one piece after you see the photos of the damage on Facebook. This has been reported to police on the south at a later time because she just wanted to get away safe. So what will happen now ? Nothing at all the south police reluctantly take a statement and that's the end of that. The south have security cameras every where and around the area where the incident took place. If they checked they would catch the culprits, but no they can't be bothered as it was only a Turkish Cypriot that got attacked not worth the effort and serves them right for being a Turkish Cypriot. I am angered by this as thie south is an eu country and actions like this would not be acceptable in any other eu country. Who are these people trying fool with there peaceful intentions. Them selves maybe. In the times since these talks have stated with mr akinci and the south there has been a large number of attacks on Turkish Cypriots and not one of attackers have been caught in all this time. It just seems strange to me at time of negotiations attacks like this happening. Mr akinci should also stop negotiating until the culprits are brought to justice. Am I the only one that thinks this way am I mad for thinking like this? I must be as all that ever is talked about here is cats and dogs and I had a nice dinner last night. What are your thoughts on this subject if any? What can be don't to prevent attacks on Turkish Cypriots on the south

If everyone with a trnc registered car stopped going over to the south for a few weeks it would really hit their economy then maybe they would do something.

Seems this is becoming all too common in the vicinity of a certain football team.

The only thing that will ever hurt them is publicity - put it on you Tube. You may all laugh at that but the only reason the South has any power is their ability to publish anything about the North that they wish and get away with it. The Turkish Cypriots will never respond in kind because it is not their way, they are too good a people.

Cross border insurance is only third party so only covers you for the cost of damage you do to a third party
You can claim off your TC insurance for vandalism in the south if your policy covers you for it
Raciest Fascists thugs are not insurable or arrested in the roc

Adopt the RoC number plate system on TC cars, three letters + three numbers because nothing will be done by RoC Police or Politicians in preventing these attacks from happening.

Slightly off topic but I had an experience in Pafos. I was driving my TC registered car in a line of traffic and well within the signed speed limit on a dual carriageway in daylight. A rozzer was on the left-hand side of the road observing traffic. Guess which car he pulled over? A full check of documents (twice), driving licence and passport (twice), who owned the car (it did state my name on the kocan), why did I live in the 'occupied zone', had I been drinking? Get out and open the boot and bonnet for inspection, what's in the bags - open them for inspection, did I have fake goods, why was I in Pafos? and on it went. Finally, realising I had committed no offence he begrudgingly handed my paperwork back to me, turned on his heel and walked away. My "Αντίο αξιωματικός" comment was ignored. So, it's not just the far-right louts who do not like Cypriots other than the Hellenic variety. I still enjoyed Pafos though.
