Dogs dumped at Alsancak festival

So sad,

I went to the festival yesterday to see that the mum and her pups that were trying to be homed and was brought to Pine Bay a few weeks ago had been dumped there and were laying together in the middle of the street.

What can be done, KAR apparently wouldn't take them, we originally took one of the pups, we can't take anymore.

I man had agreed to help the original owner, but obviously not. It is disgusting that people have dogs and then abandon them when pregnant. Adults should take responsibility and not allow this to happen in the first place, and now the poor animals are suffering the consequence of these human actions.

Shame on you who ever you are!!!

If anyone is looking to home a dog /puppies please look at these first before going anywhere else. Beautiful pups and mum with excellent and friendly natures x

Agree with all you say, however, you need to put some pics on the pet page as well as the main page (you might find the Mods move them after a while) and then perhaps contact H4P and get on their Facebook page, plus your own if you have one? KAR as you say are bursting at the seams, they have hundreds. Its needs locals to bombard the Government Vet department to neuter dogs from free for say 6 months.

thanks for feedback, however, H4P apparently did not help either. I don't do facebook, will get someone to go and take some pics, I can't go back to heartbreaking!

Hope4Pet's may not be able to physically help as they are only volunteers & have no kennel facilities but you can use their facebook page to "advertise" the plight of these dogs.......

Hi. Mum and a couple of pups are up at Kavanlar Site 1 around the corner from the Atakara. My grandkids fed them some sausage rolls this morning. We are back to the UK on Wednesday so if anyone can help, they are here. They are lovely friendly dogs. If I was living here permanently I would give them a home.

Hi yes I can confirm their are very friendly, good natured and clever. The one i took originally is a joy and we love him already. I really hope people can talk to friends or anyone that may be thinking of getting an addition to their family, as they are lovely natured and ours even knew straight away to go aside to go to the toilet and he was only 8 weeks then. Very intelligent pups!

hi, is mum dog a golden retriever cross type and her pups brown pointer types? if so, i fear for these dogs as they were ALL almost ran over next to the chip shop (was salty, now atlantis?) they followed mum onto the road, but she looked bewildered when a car started honking aggressively and the pups went in all directions of the traffic before running off (they all had collars on, so assumed they belonged to someone until i have just read this post and now wonder if its the same dogs?)

sadly cannot take in any more pets as busting at the seams here. hopefully something can be done about all these strays, its heartbreaking that they're all over and being dumped. something needs to be done, free neutering for starters

Lem, I know food is necessary, but in this heat water is equally, if not more, important. Is there anyone close by who can at least keep a large bowl or something topped up? Like us they cope without food for a longer time than they can without liquid.

Sorry Sophie, back in the UK now, didn't see the dogs near Kavanlar 1 after my last posting. Hope they're okay.
