Hi all.

I am trying to help my friend who has suffered a serious stroke. She needs an automatic bed which will sit her up, does anybody have one for sale
or one which we could borrow? I thought I had found one at the Lambousa auction house and traveled there from Tatlisu today but it had been sold
five minutes before we arrived. please reply to 0533 831 8443.

Hi just a thought but it may be worth asking in the medical supply shops, there is one I think opposite the state hospital in Girne and another by the Bellapais traffic lights, just down from the Mexican restaurant. Or, maybe ask at the Cheshire Homes rehabilitation centre by the big roundabout at the bottom of the Bellapais road. Good luck

Cheshire Homes 0392 8153767 They may be closed at the moment - I drove past on Monday and they were. I borrowed a hospital bed from them last year, unfortunately the automatic part of it didn't work due to a problem with the electrical parts but they may have fixed it. It had just been donated to them so they weren't aware of the problem when they lent it to me. We were able to prop up the top of the bed when required using cushions from a settee.
They just ask for a donation - no set fee, what you can afford - when you return the bed. They also have other equipment you may find useful during rehabilitation such as raised toilet seats.
