I don't understand it. No chikardas ( sorry about the spelling ) no mosquitos, no moths. Not much at all.
Has there been some spraying? We are in Karmi, is it just here?

Hi Cathy,
We have chakadas but not as many as usual. Also no obvious sign of mosquitos-think due to lack of rain this year!!
The odd hornet. Also a few wasp nests but not many flying about, until you disturb them!!
I was told the Beledisi aren't spraying now but saw the van outside when I went up to pay the bill recently but not out in use.

Not heard cicadas for a couple of weeks but funnily enough today heard some - in Kucuk Erenkoy. No Mossies at all this year luckily.

I think all the cicadas came out last year and as they have a 3-7 year cycle and last year we had a record number, there aren't many this year, but I agree, we do not have as many insects altogether even here in the rural Dipkarpaz. The only thing that has not diminished are those very, very tiny flying things. I put up those yellow sticky sheets and those are the main insect that get stuck there

The insects here seem to come and go in cycles. We have had hardly any cicadas this year but have had an absolute plague of harvest mite larvae bites.
Our torsos look as though we have chicken pox. Also some gross flies in the house that give birth to live maggots when sprayed or swatted. Never had the latter before, UGH!
