Car tax renewal

Can someone just confirm we can renew our car tax a few days before the due date and is the Girne office open all day or morning only ?

You can only tax the vehicle after the current period has expired. The Girne office is open as per all Government offices, depending upon winter or summer season timings.

I have taxed the car 10 days before expiration of current tax this happened in May 2013 conversation went

We were told You can only tax it In the same month it's due so if it's 3rd sept say you have all sept.

We tried to tax ours a couple of years ago, a few days before the end of Feb, when it ran out......we were told come back next month. We always renew anytime in the month following the expiry date. I think its a bit like it used to be in UK when you had a couple of weeks 'grace'. We have never been able to renew before it expires.
