My Steam generator iron has stopped producing steam!
Does anyone know of an electrical repair shop in Girne or close by that might be ableto repair it?
Thanks in anticipation.

If you can hear the solenoid 'click' when you press the steam button on the iron, then the likelehood is that it's the non-resettable thermal fuse bolted onto the water boiler tank.
If you don't hear the solenoid click, it may simply be the wire between the iron and the steam generator which has fractured, due to flexing.
The Computer / electrical repair shop next to Funky Divas will be able to fix either of these problems easily and cheaply, but if it is the actual heating element that has gone, then possibly only the dealers for that particular brand would be able to get the parts - and as the element is usually integral to the water tank, the cost of repair could exceed the price of a new steam generator system.
My advice would be to try the one next to Funky Divas, they are honest and competent, and will do their best for you.

There is a shop next to Funky Divas Hair salon in Karakum who does electrical repairs, he has recently done some work for us and is very reasonable with his prices.
