Hi
I know I can get Nespresso and Café Gusto compatible pods in the south but is there anywhere in the north yet that sells coffee pods?
Thanks

Never found any yet and been looking for a year. Shame really as Tesco in the UK do their own brand but you can't even get them in AlfaMega which is Tesco by another name anyway. Only compatible's I have found are Lidl's own and you need a No10 to make them worthwhile. I have tried the re-usable type as well and filled them myself with mixed results - it all depends on how fine you grind the beans - 20th century still to arrive!!! Maybe we could include this wish in the peace talks - lol.

There is a real Nespresso stall on the first floor at Mall of Cyprus. Been there for at least one year.
There used to be a shop among the independent shops at Alpha Mega but not sure if it is still there.

Do these fit Nespresso machines?

Just bought 5 boxes (50 pods) at the Nespresso shop in Alfa Mega this morning at a cost of 25 euro's (that is 84TL at current exchange) or 1.68TL per pod. That makes the Illy coffee pods a touch expensive at 2.44 per pod.
So even if you add on 35 Euro's for fuel and insurance (117TL) to 168TL to give you a total of 285TL per 100 original pods, if you buy 200 it would work out at 453TL or 2.27TL a pod for original Nespresso pods and I think it is worth the trip!
Of course if you only go South to buy pods it is still a bit pointless unless you want the extensive choice of different coffee's that Nespresso can provide instead of just the one coffee that Illy has. But then again you have a month's insurance and can wander back and forth as many times as you like - or can afford - to get anything else as well.
For instance: My dog's get fed on Pedigree Vital (can not afford to buy it here) and right now it is on offer in Alfa Mega at 18 Euros for a 10Kg bag and that is only 60TL - when a 3Kg bag of the same is 45TL here it is a big saving!
