Can anyone please tell me who they can recommend for Car hire? we are looking for a company very reliable. Thank you

i THINK IT WOULD HELP IF YOU SAID WHEN YU WANTED THE CAR. prices vary from mid summer to mid winter, and also to a degree, the geography of where you will be and from where you hire. there are kibkomers who are more conversant than I am with prices and places, but it would help if you gave an idea of when, where and what size vehcile. i have used a couple of places, and some seem to be cheaper than others.

We and friends have used these over the past few years . Never had a problem

AONE CAR HIRE £17 per day all inc,and only £25 each way pickup Larnaca.
We have used them many times and found them completely reliable,with good clean cars.

Bird have always been Ok for the last 4 years we have been visiting.

Everything they do for you is a pleasure not a chore.

Aone for us, every time, reliable, never late at the airport for collection and will drop us off at home before bringing the car to our house the next day, (on a evening flight).

Thanks everyone, i will do my reasearch now. Theres alot of you recommending A-one however i am worried as i was told they are good until you have an accident! Not that i have had one myself to comment.

Hi Jayne, I never heard that about aone, have you heard about any other car hire companies and how they deal with accidents? I would like to know the ins and outs of what you have heard as we use aone all the time, and dont want to recommend them if they dont derserve a recommendation. pm me if you want. personally I cant fault them, but if you know something different..........

I personally know someone who had an accident when driving a car hired from bird, they simply gave him another car no problem, make sure whoever you hire from it includes CDW (collision damage waiver) otherwise if you do have accident it will cost you a lot.

Rogspur we hired an eight seater from bird but all the seats faced forward

Got to laugh-In fact I'm chuckling now.
Every time anyone asks on any forum about car hire- Stevie G is there in seconds recommending bird car hire.
I can only assume he either owns it or has a pal that owns it.
Either way he deserves every bit of commission he gets.
What puzzles me though is how do you scan every TRNC forum and react so quickly?
Who needs a search engine when you've got Stevie.
By the way can you find me some cheap flights Stevie?

Hi Philoz, No I don't own the company (wish I did) I don't get any commission, we have used them since 2004 the family who own the company a very nice genuine people, anytime you need a car or taxi, it's where it should be and on time wether it's the airport or your house. If you need any information on anything, they steer you in the right direction, I once need some work done in my villa, they took me to a carpenters shop, I gave the job to this recommended company, saved £300 on 3 previous quotes which I already had. We find them very professional and friendly. As I've said before, everything they do for you is a pleasure not a chore. Flights for yourself, I find skyscanner pretty good, I hope you find what you are looking for. Hope you have a nice weekend.

As always, I'm seconding Steve's recommendation for Bird. Have used them for years with no problems whatsoever. Steve and I have often commented that if we were, in fact, on commission, we'd both be quids in now.

With regards cheap flights, Pegasus have just released their 2013 flights and at the moment, they are very reasonable. We booked a couple for next May/June and they were a couple of pence less than £160.00 per person return.

How much do Bird charge collecting you from Larnaca?
