Hi I live permanantly on the Sea Terra Reserve site. It is a very well run site and improvements are being made all the time. Owners are being issued with their Kocans and although not everything is perfect its as good as it gets. We have 3 pools on site one at the top one in the middle and the indoor pool.

Unfortunately we were sold a pup with the indoor "heated pool". due to the construction and design you need to raise the ambient air temp to stop the pool heat escaping into the air. We are unable to do this but we have tried and the first year it was heated for a month but was still far too cold too swim in. The gas cost for the month was nearly £5000 so it was unsustainable. It is used in the summer too cool down from the outdoor pools which are like baths. Good luck with your search but I can highly recommend the reserve.
Best wishes
Mick

Hi,

I think I'm aware of who you are!!

I can't give you any information about the 'Sugar Cube' houses but our downstairs neighbour owns a property on Seaterra Reserve and he is most happy with it-he's had no problems and has rented it out for the past nine years. We went there for a couple of drinks a few weeks ago and it looked very nice indeed.

Come and rent. When you decide where, apply for your PTP. Once in your hand, proceed with a purchase - personally, I would never buy here again, I would rent.

if your indoor pool + building is badly insulated, eg with aluminium doors-windows in single glass, maybe not properly closing to outside and -or to eg, shower area and so on, this will cost money.
for indoor pools you always have to raise the ambient temp at least 2-3 degrees above pool water temp.
the main reason is that the indoor pool water will evaporate (yes, heat losses) and you soon are in a steam bath, water running down the glass areas and non insulated walls... that will damage the building badly very soon. (the humidity, the chemicals..)
eg, if you want a pool with say, 26 degrees, your ambient temp must be 29. day and night. 4 or 5 month.
also, you need some ventilation, preferably designed as a heat recovery system.

but a 5000 a month sound a bit too much.
sounds a bit as the heat exchanger between gas - heater to pool water is underdimensioned and-or all the system is wrongly set up.
