What time is it?

So, what time is it where you are and what time is it here? My tablet, phone and PC are all showing that it is 08:05 but my clocks show as 09:05 because I have not set them back an hour - TRNC time stays the same this year.
If the time in Turkey remains the same because they don't go back either and all my devices gain their time from Turkey - why is it wrong now??
Wonder what time it is in the ROC???

Just change the time on your devices to +3 Istanbul.

karmels: Good idea but if your device is set to Automatic date & time, like most peoples devices will be, then the device picks its time from the network provided time. If you try to change it to +3 Istanbul you will find that option not available as the manual "Select time zone" function will show Istanbul as GMT +02:00. Nearest you can get to being right is to leave the Automatic date & time switched on and change the Select time zone to GMT +03:00 Moscow Standard Time.
Then wait for the network provider to wake up and catch up!!!

Yes that's a solution but it's not correct is it, some of my mobile apps are showing Istanbul time as correct and some incorrect so as usual this is a total f* up....weather apps (showing time) on phone impossible to correct etc etc

I am not good with phones or techno, but simply went into settings and used GMT plus 3 and I selected Kuwait time zone. Simple. But have not got a clue how to do laptop and desk top,
I think its a great idea well done TRNC and Turkey, one extra hours daylight in the evening.

I am with Turkcell on a contract phone and received this "Information" text:
"Unless your mobile phones or computer are updated to most recent software, you will need to either manually set new time or update your software to most recent version. The new time zone has changed from UTC+2 to UTC+3. KKTCELL"
I begin to wonder how they stay in business? All of my devices are up to date with latest software - it makes no difference!!! Just because KKTCELL are not on the ball please don't blame it on their users!

I care! OK, I only care because I don't want to miss the Mexico F1 and currently Mexico is/could be/maybe 3 hours or something behind us. I guess it is a bit of a moot point as the network will fail just before the start anyway - its Cyprus.

What time does the race start?
Sunday's race get under way at 7pm GMT. Clocks go back an hour on Saturday night / Sunday morning.
What TV channel is it on?
Sky customers have a choice of either Sky Sports 1 from 6.30pm GMT or Sky Sports F1 from 5.30pm. Or you can watch it on Channel 4 from 6pm. Or you can follow all the live action with us when this very page turns into our live blog at 6pm.
Enjoy!

How's this for utter confusion. Due to the non- time change in Turkey Turkish Airlines announced on approx. Oct 10th that they were changing the time of Istanbul - Ercan departures starting yesterday (Sunday). The 18.30 flight moved to 20.10, the 23.45 moved to 00.45.
So having booked the 23.45 for yesterday over a month ago as the 18.30 was just too tight a risky connection time for me, last week I blew some extra cash and changed to the rescheduled 20.10 which was due into Ercan at approx. 21.40.
Having been away for 2 weeks and completely out of touch with local news I was most confused when the TA Captain of this flight announced that our local arrival time at Ercan would be 20.40!!!! The flight monitors also gave that time.
Seriously wondered if my pick-up would be there waiting or would I have to hang around for another hour!!!
thank goodness the locals had worked it out right, just wonder how long it will take Turkish Airlines to!!

Turkish Airlines advised us by email two weeks ago about our flight changes due to the clocks not going back, this is for flights in two weeks so plenty of notice from a good airline

My husband is travelling out here tomorrow night and his flight times have also changed, very confusing considering the time hasn't changed at all. His original flight back to the uk is 04.20 but has now been changed to 05.20, I think it's still advisable to be at the airport for 04.20 though. I can remember last year when the clocks did change we were confused what time it was at Istanbul airport as flight time was different to our stated time.
