Can anyone recommend where to get a circular piece of glass cut for a garden table other than Paralik? I live in Ozankoy.

Hi, I got one cut at a place near Patara City.

From the 'HSBC' Roundabout, head uphill, past Multimax, and it's on your right (somewhere - I can't remember the exact address!)

There is also a place almost opposite the Grapevine Restaurant in Girne. From the Lefkosa roundabout, go towards the centre of town, towards the Colony Hotel and about 400m on the left. He does windows and mirrors and picture framing etc. He replaced the reinforced glass in one of our fridge shelves a while back. Can't remember the name but reasonable English spoken.

Next door to the mechanics in the village we have used them very good and obliging

does anyone know if it possible to get toughened glass?

I have always used Paralik but when I ordered one last month there was some funny business going on. I went into the shop and placed my order with a member of staff dtanding by the tills. He took my phone number and told me he would call when it was ready. A few days later he called and said it was ready and he would deliver it and the price was 150tl. I questioned the price because I had a similar piece cut only a few weeks before and it cost 40tl and he said prices had gone up. I said I wasn't happy with the price and would come into the shop in the next few days to collect it. He promptly dropped the price to 120tl and said it was better to deliver because it was already in his car! Over the next few days he kept calling to say he was in the area and would delIver but we said we were going to the shop. At this point wd knew sonething was untoward and went to the shop and queried the orderwhere we promply told in future not to go to any other staff in the shop other than those behind the desk. We again placed our order and were given a quote for 48 tl! Meanwhile the guy who had taken our order previously looked at us sheepishly. There is obviously some scam going on with the staff and they are ripping people off and had I not had a piece cut a few weeks prior to this incident I would have been none the wiser and paid 150 tl! It has now put me off using Paralik.

Found him out about a year ago, surprised he is still working there, always deal with the lady at the counter, their glass price is best around ,
