We are driving to NC and would have to buy insurance at the Port in Girne. We will be coming obn the Ferry from Tasucu, Turkey.
Does anyone know roughly the cost for 3 months?

Kind regards to all.

Contact Steve Dickinson over here who is recommended for insurance. I'm pretty sure he will be cheaper than any insurance bought at the port:

A further thought!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove over from UK in May and was 'stung' at the Turkish border. I was in a hurry so took the ferry from Italy to Greece. It also avoids the Balkans about which there are some horror stories!!!
I ignored advice to get a Green Card because from my enquiries they aren't vaid in Turkey????? However, that was what they wanted and I had to buy insurance at the border.
I ended up with 3 months insurance for 1 days transit across Turkey - I forget the price - 150 TL I think.

of course the green card is not valid in turkey its for 'the EU' and turkey are not in the EU,but it maybe useful when you get here if you plan on going over the border to the greek side as they are in the EU

Yes you must buy insurance for a minimum of 3 months at the Turkish Border. They call it your Green Card and this confused us too the first time.
You were not stung, it is the way it is. 150tl sounds about right.
Usually I buy my insurance before I get to NC, much cheaper, or so I believe, but I couldn't get in touch with the broker.
I have got some now with another broker.
Thanks to all who have replied, especially Yorgo who sent PM with good solution.
