Appendix to "Sadly Neglected" - apology to silver fox

To avoid taking the "Neglected " topic further off topic:
1. I am not afraid of admitting when I make a mistake or an error of judgement and saying I am sorry and I think I owe Silver Fox an apology.
He (she?) warned against using memories which might be distressing for Turkish Cypriots who suffered in those times. At that stage along with others I rather deprecated his suggestion, but I ,reaching the stage where my own reminiscences are approaching the dreadful time of Christmas 1963. I have been thinking it through more thoroughly and realising how carefully it needs handling. While I still think that the memories of non-Cypriot residents of the Island could be of invaluable benefit to international understanding of the problems , I now think that in order to avoid distress or offence to various people, or indeed breaking laws or attracting aggression, publicity should only be done with the guidance and advice of wise and experienced Agents/Editors/Publisher,. if indeed such there be, and a media of impeccable integrity that I can really trust. Fortunately I do no think any harm has been done so far as the memoirs are of a mainly personal and non-political nature , but I do not consider Kibcom as it exists at this point in time to be a suitable means of communication for this topic and hence my apologies Silver Fox for not taking you seriously enough.
2, I note that, in a Moderators revival of the old thread, a post of mine has been copied or transferred from the "Neglected" thread - unfortunately this was one of a sequence of three messages (for technical reasons)nd on its own benefits no one nor throws any light on the situation. That my posts can disappear inexplicably or be moved about by a moderator, without my knowledge, let alone consent, and distorting the sense of my argument and for no apparent logical reason, can only serve to increase my unease.
The End
3. However as far as the "neglected" thread is concerned I see no reason to delete it - too many threads are removed because of lack of respect for a person's right to hold a different opinion. The subject matter that went off topic has moved on, and no doubt the thread will die a natural death with some of us never getting to see the Ozankoy Lake!
