Do these fully load fire sticks work OK in Cyprus?

I use the Fire TV which has more memory than the fire stick, which reduces buffering when watching the program, it also has more features. It costs about £70 and the fire stick about £35 both from Amazon. I have blocked the automatic updates just in case amazon decide some time in the future to restrict its use outside of the UK or EU.
