Can anyone help with regard Uk passport expiry date / Trnc entry requirements ( Flying into Larnaca )
Passport runs out April 2017
We plan to travel Feb-March 2017 will I be allowed entry or do I need to renew to have Turkish minimum of at least 6 months left on passport ?

I do find that Google is a wonderful tool if you want to know anything official - you can go direct to the horses mouth so to speak:

http://mfa.gov.ct.tr/consular-info/visa-regulations/ This is handy information but rarely applied to visitors from the UK who are only coming to the TRNC for a couple of weeks holiday. You do not state if you are coming to stay or just visiting!

You could always go onto the .Gov.uk web sit but I would not bother wasting my time if I was you - UK tend to keep quiet about the North of Cyprus after they failed to take any action under their powers of Guarantor. No real information on the North is available because to give any would indicate that the UK recognizes the North actually exists.

karmels, strange reply that - I cannot see that I actually asked a question? However, if you wanted to know why I would have used GOOGLE as a research tool then the answer is simple. Never assume, always check! Law's and requirements change quite quickly - even when you are asleep!

When my passport was down to 2 months before renewing, I went over to the South and asked the man on customs how much time you needed on your passport to come into North Cyprus and he said I could use it up to the day before, it expired, but I think Turkey is 6 months, don't know about the South as it's EU.

Why leave your passport renewal to last minute. Renew it now and you get remaining time left on current issue added to next passport.

Sorry but it is rather stupid to take chances with visas and passports when it is so easy to renew six months in advance.

karmels, it must be just me being thick but I still don't understand - I did not ask a question! I think the Christmas spirit has a lot to do with it - lol.
