It is with regret that the RBL Theatre Players have had to cancel for the second time the proposed pantomime ‘Robin Hood’, due mainly to the unavailability of key production staff in April. Director Jan Marsh had the following message: "As many of your readers will know the RBL Theatre Players had hoped to bring their deferred pantomime ‘Robin Hood’ to their audience in April at the Municipal Theatre, Çatalköy. It is with great regret that those hopes have once more been dashed, due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances on the production team. Plans are once again underway aiming to return to an autumn/winter timetable by which time the current problems should have been resolved."
Looking forward to the rest of 2017 seasoned thespian Ian Chennell is keen to put on an open air comedy play entitled ‘The 3 Musketeers’ sometime during the first 2 weeks of September at the Wild Duck Café in Lapta. Mr Chennell will also take on the role of director if and when the pantomime ‘Robin Hood’ gets off the ground in early December.
