Does anyone know what kind of fish this is?

Strange looking dead fish - about 18ins long. Now in skip near old army gates. I just wondered what it is/was?

Looks like a puffer fish, though guess its beens dead awhile

With the overshot top part of the mouth and the remains of what look like predatory teeth and the position of what was the eyes I think this was a juvenile deep water Mediterranean Conger. You rarely ever see these fish. However, its only a guess.

its definately a puffer fish. 100%. they have come into the med from the red sea via the suez canal or via ships ballast tanks.
danger...... this type of fish is not edible and can/will cause cardiac arrest!!!
