Poison was put down on the beach this morning. Please take care whilst walking on the beach. Dogs should be on a lead and muzzled at all times. Watch your children too!!!!

How do you know about this? Was your dog poisoned? Did you report it to the authorities?

The poison was not on the beach it was mountain side alongside the small farm with horses & donkeys

I'll see if I can find out what colour but it is usually bright blue

It could be Mahmood who owns the menagerie. He has lost nearly all of his ostriches to foxes. Last year he had only one left. He is an animal lover and probably doesn't realise he is endangering pet dogs. He is an amiable person and would not be offended by a visit and an approach by a concerned veterinary assistant to point out the danger of what he is doing, that's if it is him.

If Mahmood is Monika's husband then you are so wrong, it was one of Monika's dogs (Hannah) that was poisoned. Monika found it outside their large perimeter in pieces of meat which she retrieved but now doesn't know how to dispose of it, I suggested she ask the vet.

JenAnd, no one can say for sure that there is no poison on the beach, dog walkers need to be vigilant at all times, all I do know is that there was poison found alongside Monika's farm.

Its probably down to lambing season, our first street dog was poisoned early February, unfortunately she did not make it as powdered glass was added, our current dogs were poisoned the last week of January and then four years later middle of February, as there were two of them the poison was shared.
after that they never been off the lead again unless we had very heavy rain before and often during a walk
All in areas where sheep and goats grazed.
