When I found it
Today the cat brought in a baby chameleon. It did not move but was not damaged. I picked it up to photograph it and when I took the pictures I thought I saw it move. When I picked it up again it clung to my finger!! It is so very cold out tonight - 4° - its dark now and there are the cats...
What do I do??? Not a single insect to be seen
It's very lively now - well.....as lively as chameleons can be....................

There is a chap set up a wildlife centre, I am trying to find out, I think his name was something like Kbast....... will come back if I find out.
In the meantime some greenery in a glass container & warmth I'm sure won't hurt it

Taskent Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is fully equipped to take care of this animal.
We raise and have a wide selection of bugs and insects that I am sure little fella will love
Call us up at 1190 and we will arrange delivery/pickup.

Thank you all for your help. I contacted them and they replied immediately and said that the cat probably interrupted his hibernation sleep. He's now sitting on my houseplant inside a big plastic storage box and looks asleep. I hope he will survive. Unfortunately the cats do kill the chameleons, if I don't get a chance to intervene, but this is the first time I have seen such a tiny one.
The centre said they would send somebody to pick him up, I hope so. It would be nice if he has a chance to survive.
Will give an update tomorrow.

Well done Dippersgirl, all life is precious, but Nature does it's own thing....

Unfortunately It wasn't nature doing its own thing this time, it was a cat being a cat
Fortunately, the little fella was in very good shape, it was picked up by Taskent Wildlife Rehabilitation Center this morning, examined for injuries, was fed and then released back in to the nature later in the day.

it feels more like man domesticated dog, and then decided 'lets try cat' but got bored halfway through the process and left that half finished
