I have searched this forum for something about hearing aids but the only thing I could find was the below reply to Marion re the sad death of Mr Said in Lefkosa, who sods law, when I was going to see him , he went and died on me.

Quote

Marion, there is a young lady at Near East hospital who does hearing tests, I think her name is Hatice but not sure of her other name, she is very good and professional. She has her own practise at Gonyeli where she provides hearing aids, I'm sure the hospital could give you more information.

Marion or Elizabeth ( who typed the above ) , if there are any directions or details for the above person, or indeed if anyone else has information of someone who they can recommend , who speaks English I would appreciate it very much.

Dr. Halil B. Uzuner, Özlem sokak 26, K Kaymakli Lefkoşa, phone 0392 227 7702, cep. 0533 8629004.
He is a younger man, helpful, friendly and 'not afraid of using modern tecnic'.
I am very sorry, I can't tell you how to find his clinic, it's difficult enough for me, when I have to go there.
But give him a call, or go and ask his wife, dr. Seda, the dentist, for direction. Her clinic is on the left, coming from Pia Bella, just before Girne court. And there is a pharmacy same place.
Sorry can't explain it better

Özlem Sokak can be found on Google Maps by entering this number: 35.198641,33.363183 into the 'Search Box'.

If you then 'Zoom Out' a bit, you'll be able to work out a route - but probably best to print the map in case you get lost!

banjo, he probably forgot that he posted on here, he's getting quite old, and his memory isn't what it was...

Only the other day he suggested that my car keys might be in the fridge of all places! - how odd

So where did you find them then Keith.

yes can`t keep up with all the forums that I post on now, and not consciously upset people by not thanking them for replying.

So thank you very much for the info.

Hope you note the time of the reply.

Bit late for the OLD fella.
