Had a Fabulous meal last night at Panta Restaurant
I would advise any chinese or thai food lovers to give it a try.
I had chicken satay followed by Crispy Duck and Sushi. Lovely log fire and nice warm atmosphere
Great staff and Otto the host such a character

Live music every friday!Great night to be had

Went there - tried it - it was tasteless pants - only one chance to make a first impression - shame. The 'MD' kept telling us the proper kitchen staff were all away and how it would be better the next time... just can't imagine it was a good sales ploy. would have been better to shut down for the period and not disappoint us...

Been there on several occasions and do prefer a takeaway as the food is to the temperature I like it, hot. But I do find the quality more than adequate for a foreign restaurant where it is probably hard to source all the correct ingredients and have never had any problems with the attentive staff.
One thing the drinks are always good as I can never work the next day

Maybe someone from the Thai or Filipino community can confirm eating the food while hot is not part of their culture as it does seem to be a topic of conversation with us British. I have also noted when I have been to their parties the food is placed on the table and even though what I call a hot dish its there and being eaten at least an hour later.

When we first came here we did note we tended to gobble our food as it was installed in us in our working years 'there was always something to do' where we noted our Cypriot friends would take an hour or more to eat their lamb chops which by that time were white with fat and to me yuk.

You're spot on there!

We quite like Çenaps in Alsancak, and never fail to be amused by the leisurely eating habits of our fellow diners on other tables - I really do like to have HOT food served on HOT plates, and eat it while it's still HOT! - I know that I've got a bit of a 'bee in the bonnet' about this ('cos people tell me! ), but I'm always amazed that people can take so long to eat something!

It would be a dull old World if we were all the same!

only been once, soon after it opened....awful, never been back. First impressions count for a lot. There were apologies because they had not got the burners to put on the table to keep the food warm, I would have thought that would be a given with a Thai/Chinese restaurant....how long does it take to organise food warmers.....

We went towards the end of last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Large portions in the set meal. No complaints.

Keith-food tastes better luke warm, you obviously suffer from the hideous English habit of eating like a starved labrador.

The French have got it right spending all afternoon savouring lunch as have most southern european countries,a meal out is not about getting your head down and scoffing as quickly as possible, but a social occasion in which to take your time enjoying the company and the occasion.

I personally avoid eating out with fellow Brits as a meal out seems to be some sort of race as to who can scrape the glaze off the plate the fastest, whilst having their head down and avoiding any form of conversation.

I will never be able to look at Keith again without having this image, I think he will have to be a yellow lab with brown eyes.
But yes you are right, people now a days tend to bolt their food, and the iPad has become a dining partner
No 20 chews per morsel and talk

As a child and young adult all meals apart from Saturday and Sunday high tea took place at the dining table, conversation took place as a family, no TV in sight.
Working life, and living away, suddenly meals became a nuisance, got in the way of work, play and became a necessity not a pleasure, ate at different times
Now we enjoy eating at the table and savouring our food again but with winter nearly over all of a sudden those leisurely lunches will be rushed as work takes presidency again.
Back to Panta again, as I said before the food has been tasty but not as hot as I would expect and they introduced me to sushi which I never thought I would like and I don't think that chef can be criticized with his knife cutting skills.
