Hi. Does anyone know if the amnesty is still on ? I need to renew my residency and was wondering about the waiting time in Lefkosa if the amnesty is still in place.

Renewed ours on Tuesday (and were very kindly given two years because we're old folk!).

In at about 12:45 (after a dental appointment that morning) and out at about 13:15. No numbers were available "they'd finished" but the lady said if we waited she'd deal with us. Couldn't have been nicer.

If you are 'old folks' (ie over 60) then you don't have to renew your residency permit, unless your circumstances have changed (eg you no longer own a poroperty).
