Can't see the Bombing anywhere

Have I missed it on another Section but is no-one interested in the fact that US has been bombing Syria from a ship in the Eastern Med. I can't even see comment on the gassing and killing of innocents in Syria or that I tis exactly 100 years since US entered WW1. Please will someone show me that some of the trivia on Kibcom lately is more interesting than the latest news. If this subject is under another thread then I take back what I have said!!

It's front page news on UK newspapers and TV coverage is comprehensive. In retaliation for the recent chemical weapon attack, the US launched 59 missiles from two warships in a secret location, believed to be off the coast of Turkey or Cyprus. Considering the close proximity to Syria, Cypriots must be extremely anxious and worried. t

WhatNoDeeds, I am aware of all that as I'm a world wide news junkie but my amazement was directed at Kibcomers I realize there is nothing I or you can do to change matters, but sticking head in sands amazes me. Thank you at least for replying.!!

I was just surprised that no one mentioned the use of chemical weapons in Syria (except one poster as an aside on another thread) , particularly as it coincided with a lot of breathing health problems here in Cyprus. I sometimes feel that the preoccupation with trivia here is a case of "regardless of their fate, the little victims play", or fiddling while Rome burns.

On the other hand perhaps people are just being cautious because sometimes feeling strongly about a subject on this board can lead to a lot of unpleasantness

Not necessarily "heads in sands", but all anyone can do is offer opinions - which will not have any effect or alter anything - except possibly bring down opposing opinions on the posters' heads....

Sophie I do not understand why you are criticising other people for not posting when you had not posted yourself except to complain about the lack of posts!

At a dinner party I've always advocated the No Politics or Religion to be discussed. I suspect "charity" just might be added if this forum is an indication of how heated it can become!! Unquote (My underlining RR)

Hoist with your own petard, Sophie!?

Perhaps you are right and it is just as well no one is taking is seriously judging by the responses so far. On the other hand how long can one spend on Easter Eggs and second hand furniture?
