A GC's View of the Divided Island

The South Cyprus 'Cyprus Mail' have published an informative overview of the history of the 'Troubles'.

Bear in mind that it is written from a single (GC) perspective, and doesn't dwell on the rationale of the Turkish Intervention ('Invasion', to them!), but for those unfamiliar with the GC understanding of the events, it may be illuminating.

Once you have clicked on a particular link, there is a full menu of topics available at the right-hand side of the screen.

I would recommend that you also seek out the Turkish Cypriot version of events, and also look at the reports made by the UK Government officials at the time. You would be hard put to believe that they were talking about the same Island...
