6,949TL!!!

Absolutely brilliant and well done to everyone who donated their time, equipment and money!

We cannot give you the total amount raised by Peter as he is still collecting sponsorship money and has a few collection boxes to pick up but this was the amount of money that was raised on the day via donations, sales of Lokma and Gozleme, games, quizzes and the sale of wooden tulips, cards, moonstones etc.

Please can we ask that if anyone sponsored Peter to try and get this money to him this week sometime so that we can announce the final figure.

Thank you Pete for all your efforts, it has been hard work for both you and Sylvia but the Association and Raziye is so grateful for what you have achieved.

Thank you Sue. We have had a second look at the amount of pledges and think if they are all paid including some boxes we have here, the total will be nearer 8,000 tl. Peter would have liked 10,000 (or even 20,000) but he should be proud of himself that so much effort on his part has been so richly rewarded. I am very proud of him!

Well done Peter. that is an amazing achievement, you are an absolute angel for dedicating so much time and effort into this very worthwhile charity, which is why I am going of topic now, as your thread is of interest to all the caring community here, Ayse at the Ravine is holding a charity darts knockout competition on 21st October for Tulips, it promises to be an interesting night, darts players and non darts players are all invited, there will be one for the competition ladies and one for the men, entry is 10tl, which will be divided half to Tulips and half to winner, special menu for the night, fish and chips or chicken gougons (spelt wrong) for 15tl with a donation made to the charity from every meal served, anyone having had fish and chips at Ravine will know what a bargain this is, so please support this event as Tulips are in dire need to keep up their good sorry excellent work. and without the support of the caring North Cyprus community they cannot continue, anyone of us could require there services at some stage, So please one and all dig deep xx

Thank you very much Barb for organising this.

I was going to start a new thread for the Darts Competition but do not have any contact details, do you want to start one for us with the full info on for anyone who wishes to participate?

Hi Sue, no thanks needed and I know you are very busy at moment, and hope all going well, I will start a thread this week and I am so sorry Peter not meaning to grab your topic, just seizing an opportunity, and hope you don't mind. Hopefully Sue will talk to you soon, but will start something this week (meaning Peter, my own topic xx). Take care both of you!
