Poison Alert - Alsancak and Ilgaz

Copied from Charities section - I reckon more people will see it on this section (Sorry Admin if it is wrong !).
In Alsancak a small brown cardboard box was found on the side of the path containing "something" dead, obviously used as bait. On top of the small dead animal was sprinkled white powder. Any stray dog or cat wanting to get to the "meat" was going to have to eat the powder first. It is assumed the powder was lanate. Alsancak Belediye were informed and the box has been removed. This is the second form of poison in less than a week within 100 yards of each other (the first was fatal). This is the first time this devious method has been used. Keep a close look out for paper bags or boxes lying by the side of the path.

Another, sadly fatal. report has been reported to KAR. On Saturday, 29th April, a strong healthy adult pointer died despite the vets very best efforts over 2 hours of treatment - so it was very strong poison. He had been out on a run/walk with his owners in the mountain area just above Ilgaz. The poison had been laid on the mountain path on animal innards. The owners friends returned to the area and cleared the innards and posion.
BE EXTRA CAREFUL - Even when you think your pets are walking in safe areas.
