Have done it recently. Went in person, sorry can't remember cost but there was one. Don't forget to send a copy of the photo page f the passport of the person who's giving the POA

I did this in April, the cost was £25 in Postal Order. A stamped self addressed envelope with a recorded delivery label also is needed. It was very efficient and as I was pressed for time to get it before coming to NC the lady in the office turned it around immediately and phoned me to let me know she had taken it to the post office. If there is more than one page, the notary's seal and signature is needed on each page.

Thank you Alan for this information, not being au fait with UK Post Office procedures can you just get a Recorded Delivery label from the post office, affix it to envelope yourself & then it can be taken for posting at a later date?

No when you take the envelope to the PO to send to London they will weigh it and attach the same value of postage to the SAE, they will also put a recorded delivery label on it which is why the TRNC office must take it to their PO for returning. I would suggest asking for the tracking number of the return envelope in case anything goes amiss. You will be given the tracking number of the outward envelope. I think the postal order is made out to KKTC Consolidation Fund but you should call the office and confirm that.

I contacted my Lawyer 18months ago to progress a case. He took the Cash and told me that it would take about 2 years (maybe 3) - we cannot even get the POA signed?????????????

Sorry CathySW I do not really understand your post but Permission to Purchase for Europeans is now taking around 6-9 months & your lawyer should have obtained POA from the Vendor when you signed your contract??
