Cost of live entertainment

I'm looking at live entertainment options for a private party so am open to ideas.
Has any booked a singer or band recently and can recommend? I would really like a rough idea of how much they charge, if possible.

Good question. I would say it depends on what you are looking for. Musically, from what I see here, there is a wide option, 4 piece bands down to 1 person with guitar. If it's a youngish audience, then I'd ask if they do 80's 90's and so on. and same goes for if they're more into 60's 70's .. although this music tends to go down well in most parties.

I know a few of the guys so can ask or pass on your details if you wish.

Can I recommend to you jerry lee, or Lee Hickens, he DJ'd and sang at my daughter's wedding, and he was absolutely splendid - I've got no qualms about recommending him, he is excellent. Thanks very much Lee - their wedding is still being spoken about at Deks, it was a fantastic day, really more than we hoped for - a great time was had by all - and I haven't danced so much in years, in fact I don't think I sat down the whole time, pity they can't celebrate their first anniversary there!!!
