Hi

Does anyone know where the very loud music was still playing at 2am this morning?

We're in lower part of Ozankoy and the windows were rattling! I thought there was going to be a crackdown on noise pollution or have I just imagined that?

It wasn't any of the bars round the mosque or the sports club I walked round there trying to find the source .

It`s coming from Odessey Club, part of Lord`s Palace...

Grrrr...it was far too loud...anything we can do about it?

The Cage at the Cratos. Partying every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through the season. Same last year. Best we all buy earplugs as the authorities do nothing.

We never heard it so loud before.

I thought it was the cratos hotel, if anyone finds out exactly where it was coming from I would be able to complain, I've lived here 16 years and never heard it so loud, i live in ozankoy.

I've got three free entry tickets for the Odyssey club, which include the first drink free. Anyone interested?

I live opposite Cratos and even they had to turn their music up on Saturday...

Never heard the music so loud. Have been to Cratos to complain and telephoned the environmental protection dept on 0392 815 7062. The more complaints the better.

The music! was coming from Lords Palace beach club. This is very close to the new Near East hospital and apparently the noise should be much reduced according to a report in last sees Cyprus Today.
The police said it is allowed on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We met a tourist staying at Oscars who has be coming here for 16 years and will not be returning. If the government wants to develop tourism then they are going a strange way about it.
Please use the telephone number given above to make a complaint and we can only hope for a sensible outcome soon.

It needs loads of locals to complain to the environmental department before they will take any notice of we "temporary residents" regardless of how long we have lived here. Sad but true I think.

former President Talat used to live in a street to the left of Lords Palace as you drive down to the new harbor He may have moved but a good man to complain about the noise if he still lives there

Yes we have just had it confirmed by Mr Oskur that it is the open air night club at Lords on Wednesday night. The police are involved and apparently there are petitions to sign to get it stopped. If we hear more information I'll post on here.

A friend of mine is a night manager at Lords and he said they are inundated by complaints. Poor folk in the adjacent apartment blocks.

I live in central Ozankoy it was loud enough for me to take a walk to find the source which I assumed was local, there was a party at the end of the street no music though ,from the direction of the music I thought it was a few streets away, at a push very loud music from what was Dream Castle , if it was Lords Palace it must have broken windows locally.
I can see Cratos from my terrace I've watched the light show many times but the boom boom has only ever been in the distance.

Yes MANY complaints at area surrounding Lords...dreadful, you surely don't need to be deafened to enjoy yourself!!

We are still listening to music blaring out from Lapta festival, it was eight hours last night and about seven tonight, full blast for all of that time, impossible to hear anything else.
Why does the music always have to be at full bass and volume.

We find the Cage Club at Cratos very loud coupled with the base boom. It went on until 03:15 a couple of weeks ago.
We have complained but nothing is done. We are in Catalkoy in site line of Cratos. Really do dread these music nights. Even the A/C doesn't block it out any more.

We live in lower Ozankoy 1.1km from Cratos and 3.5Km from Lords Palace. The music last night was reduced from previous weeks so something must I'd been said or done. Perhaps the complaints are having some effect. Still think our problem is the Cratos.

You're really complaining about the music from the lapta festival that's on for 3 days a year,none last year,how sad,and before you ask yes I do live in lapta(i'm about 300yds from the centre) and can hear it but it's not like it's on every week.

I am not complaining about the music, I'm questioning whether it has to be so loud , it was non stop last night at full volume for several hours up to midnight.

That's the trouble - they treat this place like a holiday home

Not everyone is on holiday though, the old people , those with young children and babies, people who have to get up for work, perhaps a little consideration for others could be given.

If it is so loud that you can hear it several km away how bad must it be at the venue and what damage does it do to your ears? I guess that it will take several years before the Authorities really get to grips with it like they have in most Mediterranean Countries. In the meantime you could let the Resorts know how unhappy they are making their neighbours by posting on heir Fb sites or trip advisor etc. If they are hit in the pocket they may eventually rethink their business plan.

Never heard any music last night hopefully the complaints worked.

I was sat in the garden till 1am this morning heard the music from the stone cavern which finished 11pm and the music from the Cratos was in the distance, nothing like last weeks which had me trying to find the source and sounded like it must be a neighbour.

It's 3.25am and the music is very loud coming from the lords palace, I have already complained the other week to the environment dept but I will definitely be complaining again, anyone who is awake with this load music now should complain, the more people that complain they may take some notice, it will probably be Monday before you can get an answer but do it.

I complained to the Environmental Dept this morning..definitely Lord's again on Saturday night, still going after 3am!
