I've not seen anything recently on the subject, but the 'phone number is still registered in that name - I think that at some point, you'll probably need to ring it
Let us know how you get on, it may help others!

In that case, I can't help you, but you would have saved us both time and effort by mentioning that on your first post!
Perhaps someone will be along in a moment that can help...

I am not entirely sure, but seem to remember reading somewhere that Mr Said had passed away. I use Mertcan Senol in Lefkosa. Phone number 0392 227 9353, mobile 0533 8505451 or email
mertcan@medaidcyprus.com. He is very knowledgeable, but if it repairs you are after, depending on the make you have, you may struggle to find anyone. I have resound aids, and they are not supported over here, nor in the South where an audiologist called Chrysoulla is based. She is also very good. Mertcan does hearing tests, did his training in UK, speaks excellent English, and deals mainly with Widex.

I use a fantastic guy on the South side, speaks perfect English, does not care if we are from the North, if you need him I can take you there, trying to give directions is not easy, very reasonably price too.

Further to the above post, I used that gentleman Mr. said, sadly the shop has closed.

There is a young chap in Lefcosia. go past Toros shop to the end heading to the British High Commision at the island turn left it is in a side street on the left a bungalow, it is either the second or third street. He deals with Widex earing aids but can help with any. I don't have is number as it is at home in Girne and we are in Turkey. Just thought Marion Stewart has the number if you can contact her as my self and her late husband have used him.

Karmels that is the one I have mentioned, Mertcan. Lovely young man, very helpful but as I said, he cannot help with resound, as he does not deal with them anymore. He referred me to Chrysoulla, his colleague in the south, but she also had stopped dealing with resound, but she is also excellent. They confer quite regularly and support each other which is lovely given they are either side of the 'divide' As it happens I am awaiting new aids, Widex, which Mertcan is getting from Turkey for me.

mrsgee, yes thats the one. I use chrysoula, my aids are Widex they are very good I have to use two and Chrysoula set them for me. The widex are not cheap about 1600 euros each but I have had them for 8 yrs now, I have had to spend around 200 euros for them to be repaired over the years.

Yes, Karmels, I have heard (quite ironic that..lol) that Widex is the best. As I have profound hearing loss and severe tinnitus I have to have very powerful aids. The ones I am getting now are 10,800 tl each, but I hope they last longer than the resound ones I got 5 years ago in the uk, and which have now died..... hearing aids here, and in the south, are cheaper than the same ones in UK. Good to know that you have had good experience with widex.

I use guy in Lefkosa, I have cross over hearing aids as I am totally deaf in one Ear. His English not brilliant but he calls a friend in to help. They even arranged for the rep from Phonak to come over from Turkey for a consultation, no charge. 0542 8505451 0r 0392 2279353 Mercan
