Stroke Patient Needs A Wee Help

Hi,
The victim of a recent stroke is temporarily burdened with limited mobility & her plight would be greatly improved if anyone has or is aware of a commode chair that may be available for hire or loan whilst she recovers.
Any assistance from the helpful people who populate this forum would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much

The Leonard Cheshire home on the Bellapais Road might be able to advise, the only number that I can find is 0533 821 5185, but someone might know better.

Christine Offord is often able to help with queries like this, you will find her number using the search box at the top of the page.

If all else fails, you could try Gokcen medical supplies shop, not far from the Bellapais lights in Girne.

The number I have for Cheshire Homes is 815 3767. Fairly recent. Ask for Feliz who speaks good English, Best time to try 9,30 to 3.30 weekdays. They do have Commodes but as well to phone first as I dont know how many out on loan. For donations.

The medical supplies shop by the traffic lights didhave commodes (I saw one when I was looking for a scooter)

There is a shop opposite the public Hospital that also sells all types of medical stuff and the girl I saw was helpful with quite good English, but they tend to order by catalogue and who knows how long that would take, but if all else fails it is worth checking what they have in stock. Sorry cant remember name and dont have phone number.

Before this thread goes completely down the pan, may I suggest that Keith's request for the location of the commode was perfectly valid - as he says it could help others! - Please let us know - at your convenience of course.

The location we managed to get it from is the very picturesque WC Fields
Seriously a friend of a friend came to the rescue with one they had .
Thanks again
