I have a DSLR, about 6 years old, which is in need of a service and some minor repairs. Can anyone recommend a good repairer?

Not sure if they are still there, but almost opposite Karaoglanoglu Lemar there used to be a Canon printer sales office and repairer. They were fine for repairs.

Having typed the above, it just dawned on me that you might be referring to a Canon camera!!!

Yes, it is a digital camera.

Yucel Photographic (not far from HSBC Bank in Girne) use digital cameras, so they would likely be able to point you towards a repairer...

There's no DSLR camera repair services in the North. Yucel Photo send their cameras to Istanbul. If you can cross the border, there's a licensed camera repair shop in Nicosia close to the city center. They are on Facebook, you can check their info and contacts here: https://www.facebook.com/Doros-Neophyto ... 387788694/ They did a great job on my camera cleaning and two broken L-class lens repairs. Highly recommend!

There is a Canon camera repairer in the North. I've taken my lens there.
At Gonyeli roundabout turn left onto Dr. Fazil Kuçak Bulvari towards Famagusta. At second set of lights by Alpet petrol station, turn right. The shop is approximately 50m on the right. I'm sorry I haven't got the name but Yucel photo shop would know.

Well, then I guess they aren't doing a good job on making their name and services known to a broader public. I spent one day surfing the Internet and making calls about camera repairs, so I finally gave up and took my Canon over to the Greek side because it was urgent and I received a great service there. They fixed and cleaned everything in 2 days, can't be happier really.

Update to previous posting.
I went to the repairer in Nicosia the other day, as I'm still having problems with the Canon lens. Sad to say, the business is no longer there. It's now just an ordinary house.
