Garanti increased tl savings rates

Garanti bank who historically pay less than some local banks as the local banks dont have the clout have significantly increased their interest ratex from around 9.5 to 11.5 % per annum for 32 days for over 100000 tl .now im not advocating this is a good thing and in my opinion the banks as a whole are struggling to attract deposits both here and on the mainland . I understand on the mainland there are banks offering 15 % !

It could well be a sign of further currency depreciation . I have sign quite a few predictions of to $ weakening further to 4.5 tl to $. No one has crystal ball but id urge tl holders to get the best rate they can.
