Has anyone had a discrepancy with their bill from this supermarket, when checking my bank account I had a bill from Supreme for 200 YTL, I looked for my receipt but had thrown it. I know I have never spent anyway near that amount in the Supreme Supermarket as I do my weekly shop in Erulku in Lefkosa. It is my entirely my fault as paying by my card I should check the amount before I put in my pin number and accept. Has anyone else had a similar experience. I have no proof as I have chucked my receipt but I know I have never spent this amount in the Supreme????

well i had a problem with supreme supermarket and will not use again.we bought some chocolates for a friend who was getting over an operation the purchase price said 19tl got to the checkout wanted 41tl .so we asked why the big hike.the girl took me to the shelf and said sorry wrong price.so ok said how much these ones at 24tl marked up she again checked and said 32tl.oh ok try again another box said 37tl checkedat till 49tl.i am now getting peed off so bought none went else where.the moral is how many other items on the shelf are wrongly marked (not saying purposely )relying on people not to check there receipt at the till .i think a nice little earner for the owners.so be carefull check your receipt.

Never had a problem with them at all in all the years I have been shopping there. If you want to make sure of the price of anything just take it to the checkout and they will check it for you. Never trust the price on the display ticket in any supermarket, always check the bar code number on the product against the display price bar code number and you won't go far wrong. It's strange that I never see anyone complain when they have been under charged for anything - guess that only happens to me, just lucky - lol.

Use Supreme for most shopping.

Not had any issues but must say if the barcode and price are not displayed then we don't buy the item. Often we find there are many similar products on display so we always check the barcode on the item and see if we can find the barcode and price on the shelf. If not then we don't buy it.

It's an area they do need to rectify and of course the more people that bring it to there attention the better. Don't think it's deliberate. I may be wrong but we think we see the suppliers of the goods refilling the shelves as opposed to supermarket employees so maybe this is where it can go wrong? For example no barcoded price displayed? Or dare I say it a supplier removing a competitors barcoded price tag so people like us won't buy if we cannot identify the price?

Prefer Supreme to Lemar - the staff in Lemar are nowhere near as customer friendly.

Supreme is more expensive than most, however if you want good in date products and good service it's worth paying a little more.

Do you think so? No idea if this is the case but cannot say we have noticed.

To be honest we have no idea which supermarket is the cheapest. We think Sah is more expensive but has a greater range of products, we call it the Waitrose of North Cyprus!

Erulku on the Lefkosa - Gazimagusa road is far cheaper. If you shop in the Girne area, you pay the premium rate.

Ahhhh yes, was trying to remember the name. Shopped there a couple of times and yes it is cheaper.

Worth a trip or call in if passing by.

Erulku is by far the best place to shop. We drive from Karsiyaka, which is a long old slog, but we make a day of it including lunch at the mall. Also a lovely drive off the main drag through Degirmenlik.

Thanks everyone, all I can say I will be more vigilant, but I do not find having to check barcodes etc while shopping very exciting, I love my local Tempo in Esentepe too. Erulku is all marked up very well no checking barcodes in there and the prices are so much cheaper, I think, overall, I must save 20 pounds a large shop and it s very close to me so petrol money is insignificant. I find losing £30.00 on a small shop in Supreme probably was an accident!! my fault for not checking the card machine, but there fault for whatever reason for overcharging me, so I will not shop in there again, besides there fruit and vegetables are rank xx
