Three Musketeers 6 - 8 SEP

Early September sees the first ever outdoor comedy play by the RBL Theatre Players.
New Director Ian Chennell explained: “It was on a chill November morning last year when I first received a telephone call from Brian Coe inviting me to a meeting at the Wild Duck Café in Lapta.
Curious, I arranged a time and duly met with him at the restaurant. Standing in the garden before the children’s climbing frame, more of a castle or adventure play area really, Brian smiled a huge smile, waved his arm expansively and said: “So what do you think?” “What do I think” I said “about what?”
“I have a plan” he said…………. and he did. The climbing frame was to become the basis of a set for a play, maybe something nautical? Treasure Island perhaps?
Sometime later and after much discussion, and with the invaluable support of the Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch, Aziz and Emma Elmaz at the Wild Duck Café for the use of their superb facilities, and our sponsors creditwest bank the RBL Theatre Players are proud to announce their production of ‘The Three Musketeers’ a hilarious comedy to be performed at the Wild Duck Café on the 6th, 7th and 8th September with curtain up at 7pm but doors open at 6pm for drinks and refreshments.”
Tickets are 30tl with all proceeds going to the RBL 2017 Poppy Appeal and they are available now from the Wild Duck in Lapta, along with bookings for pre-performance supper if required, and also from the RBL stall at the Lambousa Saturday Market. In addition, tickets can be ordered from Andrew Cowley on 0533 866 7563 or online at: pantomime.rbl@gmail.com
Mr Chennell added: “This is going to be a great production so book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets for the Friday performance are already limited.”
