From 6pm onwards this (Friday) evening both lanes of the Lefkoşa ring-road (or Mağusa road as it is sometimes called) will be closed for road maintenance for about 2 miles from the Gönyeli (or S**t-on-a-Stick) Roundabout towards Mağusa.
If you need to drive from Girne to, say, Ercan at that time, my advice would be to:
- Take the Buffavento/Five-Fingers road over the mountain
or
- Drive through the centre of Lefkoşa, forking left at the Merit Hotel, and then a mile or so later turning left at the bus station roundabout. This will then take you back out to the Mağusa road.
It doesn't say in the report how long the roadworks will last.
It seems a little strange for the closures to start at 6pm, as that is when many are returning home from work, but that's what it writes in the report.
Regards,
Ian
