As it's mainly open air I don't see how it could be closed. It's probably best to visit when it's a bit cooler anyway, you could stroll up to Buffavento castle at the same time!

Where is the park situated then, I couldn't find the area by google. Any directions would be welcome we will be at the Pia Bella and will have a car. Many thanks.

Take the main Girne to Lefkosa road and just before the long straight turn left at Girne Bogaz just before the speed camera. Follow the road through Dikmen and always keep to the left. You will eventually see the flag on the mountain. Drive through Taskent village, following the sign for Buffavento castle and the road passes through the park (although I believe they are diverting it around the edge). Either way you can't miss it. There's an old monastery there too which is very interesting.
