This is a very specialised question which may be hard to answer. In the uk it is possible to grow certain fruit trees such as apple pear and apricot espalied i.e against a wall as oppose to free standing. Is this possible with a citrus fruit tree. Would be most grateful for info or an intro to a horticulturalist I. Mediterranean trees who might be able to help me.
In anticipation thanhs

I am no expert on this, but I have a pear tree that, stupidly, I planted too close to a fence and in too shaded a place and it has sort of espaliered shaped though not actually touching the fence. and although suriviving is not doing well.
If you are planting in tubs or holes in hard surfacing I think you would need to pay a lot of attention to light and shade, and do a lot of extra feeding and watering.
