Just bought a plastic hawk from lreroy merlin for 14. 99 euros, it has a wing span of 18 inches and comes in two parts ( wings and body ).
This is better than the plastic kite sold in home base for 70 euros..
The plastic hawks are in the first isle on the left in the garden section.

Hi
Can you give directions to the place you purchased from please?
Also does the shop supply the pole and line to connect the kite on to.
Any advice much appreciated.

The pigeon scarer is working well, no pigeons in the atrium.
Posh. Leroy merlin is near the motorway. if you go to the motorway bridge with the coloured ball drive stright on the diy store is at the end on the right and home base is on the left one street back.

I'm sure you can buy these scarers with sound effects as well (at least I think you can) We were at Passport in the evening about 8 weeks ago and they has a huge hawk thingy swirling around keeping the seagulls/pigeons at bay. At the same time there was a loud screeching sound every so often. Until we go used to it, it really was weird..

My neighbour has bought one east of Girne. He got it from a fishing/hunting shop going into Girne from Catalkoy.
I just wonder how these things will stand up to the Coptic gales that we get. Will watch what happens to my neighbour's, our dogs seem to keep the pigeons away and I don't want to scare our family of "chimney sparrows" away.
