We live near the Merit Hotel and a stray dog has turned up. He's tan, around 10-12 months' old, medium size, in good nick, very friendly and affectionate. We'd take him in but we alreay have adopted a stray cat and her 2 kittens, plus a rescue puppy last weekend close to death, and simply don't have space for any more. If you know of anyone who's lost a dog answering to this description, please contact me at: 05338472437. I'm probably taking on a lost cause by asking if anyone would like to adopt this very nice dog! We would take him to KAR but we know they're full up.

It's not a case of taking him to KAR unfortunately The procedure is to contact them, they will collect the dog, neuter it, inject it and generally give it a bit of an MOT and then return it to the area it comes from. Most dogs seem to stay roughly in and around the same area (unless of course some kind person has picked it up and dumped in an area the dog knows nothing about, rather than do what you are doing by trying to help) If it has no collar or contact disc it almost certainly belonged to a local.
