JUST READ THAT GLENCOE TRNC IS CLOSING DOWN AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.

I think I only looked on there once-and then the most recent post was about rationing and the Cuban missile crisis.

Oh dear. I wonder why? I thought it was a good strong forum mainly used by people in the Esentepe area. I guess the guy who runs it has a reason for closing, or maybe it is taking up too much of his time.
don[t like to hear of success stories becoming failures, but I guess it is very much a case of 'Unto everything there is a season'. But does anyone know WHY Glencoe is closing.

The owner was running it as a hobby not as a commercial enterprise and it did not pan out as he expected. I for one enjoyed the forum and will miss it.

Thanks Looseboots. As I recall the man running it is very community minded and that was why he was doing it. I asked him for some info once, and he told me I could find it on Glencoe. 'But' i said' I am talking to you now, so can't you tell me'. We had a laugh about it, but I was secretly a bit peeved, being of a lazy disposition and wanting an immediate answer.
#It is a shame, because I know a lot of people found it helpful.
