I've been to that cobbler 3 times over the last 3 weeks and every time it's been closed?

Sorry about that!
I don't use it myself, but the op asked for a place in Girne or East thereof, and it was the only place that I knew of that fitted the bill...
I find that it's often worth asking the shops next door about a place that's closed - they often know what's what
There is a cobbler in Karaoglanoglu, and there are directions on the forum somewhere - try the Search facility at the top left.

Yes I found the directions to the one in Karaoglanoglu using the search facility but couldn't find any others. I'm going into Girne next week so I'll see if he's open then.

There's a cobblers near the Lefkosa roundabout - if you walk up from George's cafe to the roundabout - past the Colony, keep walking past both petrol stations and the last parade of shops before the roundabout he's on the right hand side - he doesn't speak English but we got by with hand signals!!! Hope the directions are ok

If you are going into Girne, there is another shoe repairer in the area of KC's suggestion. If 1001 is on your right hand side, the shop is on the opposite side on one of the blocks of shops further up from the supermarket car park.

The guy at Karaoglanoglu is brilliant. We have used his services for years. Turn left at the main turn off for Edremit and he is in a small white building about 60 metres up on the right. His door is usually open if he's there.
